Last week we asked our audience: Who’s your favourite Canadian athlete and why?

When the NBA announced the finalists for most of its post-season awards, Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was among them.

Gilgeous-Alexander was born in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up in Hamilton, Ontario.

He now plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder and is one of the biggest NBA stars right now.

Some may even call him his favourite Canadian athlete.

We wanted to know about your favourite Canadian athletes, and why you like them.
