Winter weather travel advisory issued for Simcoe County
Don’t put your shovels away just yet.
Environment Canada is calling for another winter weather travel advisory for central Ontario.
The weather advisory in effect for Barrie, Collingwood, Hillsdale, Innisfil, New Tecumseth, Angus, Owen Sound, Blue Mountains, Northern Grey County,Shelburne, Mansfield, and Northern Dufferin County.
The national weather agency expects local snowfall with an accumulation of 10 to 20 centimetres of snow by Wednesday night.
Bands of lake-effect snow will continue to affect the area through Wednesday. Heavy snow and blowing snow can be expected at times.
Travel could be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather patterns.
Environment Canada advises drivers to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
