Where to watch Steelers vs. Giants tonight: Channel, time, live stream for NFL ‘Monday Night Football’ game | Sporting News Canada
The Steelers are set to play their second consecutive primetime game after handling the Jets on Sunday Night Football last week.
The Giants are up to bat now, looking to take down Pittsburgh on the road with Russell Wilson starting his second game of the season. Justin Fields started the Steelers’ first six games.
The Steelers have gotten out to a surprising 5-2 record, tied for the AFC North lead entering Week 8.
Excellent defense has been a key reason to Pittsburgh’s success. T.J. Watt remains the leader on that side of the ball, tallying 4.5 sacks and 12 quarterback in seven games. As a unit, the Steelers defense allows the second least points per game in the NFL (14.4).
On offense, Najee Harris has surpassed 100 rushing yards in the past two contests. He’s also scored a touchdown in each of the past two games.
The Giants haven’t had such great fortune this year. New York is 2-5 with a difficult schedule remaining.
Daniel Jones is still the starting quarterback, which has proven to be disastrous. The Giants average the second least points per game in the NFL (14.1). Only the Dolphins, who have been without Tua Tagovailoa since Week 2, have a worse average.
New York’s defense isn’t horrendous, allowing 21.3 points per game, tied for 12th in the NFL. That said, the Steelers aren’t prone to turnovers. Pittsburgh has turned the ball over four times this season while forcing 13 turnovers on defense.
The nine-turnover difference is the second best mark in the NFL.
