Antetokounmpo helped Greece advance out of the qualifying rounds earlier this month as part of the FIBA qualifying tournament final in Piraeus, Greece.

Greece will begin its Olympics on Saturday against Canada, a team that is loaded with NBA players, including 2023-24 NBA MVP runner-up Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), 2023 NBA champion Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets), former all-NBA second-team defensive player Dillon Brooks (Houston Rockets) and Andrew Nembhard (Indiana Pacers), who Antetokounmpo saw up close in the 2024 playoffs last season while injured, among others.
