The final group game between India and Canada in the T20 World Cup was abandoned due to wet outfield. But after the cancelled game, Indian Head Coach Rahul Dravid made a touching gesture by visiting the Canadian dressing room to talk to the players. The video of this visit went viral on social media.

With the game’s cancellation, Canada’s run in the World Cup ended, while India had already qualified for the playoffs.

After the match was called off, Rahul Dravid visited the Canadian dressing room, where he was presented with a Canadian jersey signed by all the players. Dravid also gave a speech to the Canadian team.

“Thanks a lot. I want to acknowledge and appreciate the fantastic contribution that you have made to this tournament. I think all of us recognize the struggles and the challenges that you all have to go through to be able to play this sport”-said Dravid.

Rahul Dravid also mentioned his time in Scotland in 2003, highlighting the challenges faced by associate nations. He motivated the Canadian players by saying that their efforts would pave the way for the next generation of Canadian cricketers, making their path easier.

After completing the group games, India will head to the West Indies for the Super Eight games. In their first Super Eight match, India will face Afghanistan on June 20th at Kensington Oval in Barbados. India’s game against Australia is scheduled for June 24th.
