Two Raptors Crack Top 15 in NBA Jersey Sales in Canada
Scottie Barnes has officially become the face of the Toronto Raptors.
On the court, it’s been obvious ever since Toronto parted ways with Pascal Siakam earlier this month. But it’s off the court where Barnes owns the league’s top selling jersey in Canada for the first half of this season, the NBA Canada announced Tuesday.
Barnes topped LeBron James for the No. 1 spot in Canada, followed by Steph Curry, Pascal Siakam, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, respectively.
Rookie first-round pick Gradey Dick just cracked the top 15 in jersey sales through the midway point of the year. Dick’s No. 1 jersey has been rather popular despite his inconsistent play so far this year.
The rest of the top 15 includes Jayson Tatum at No. 6, followed by Luka Dončić, Victor Wembanyama, Kevin Durant, Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Devin Booker, LaMelo Ball], and Damian Lillard, respectively, before Dick at No. 15.
The Raptors are, of course, the top-selling team in Canada in merchandise followed by the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, respectively. The Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and San Antonio Spurs fill out the rest of the top 10 in merchandise sales.
Abroad, Canadian superstar Gilgeous-Alexander has become one of the top selling jerseys around the world. He cracks the top 10 in jersey sales in France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom, NBA Canada announced. The 25-year-old is the only Canadian player in the top 15 in jerseys sales in Canada.
