The Canadian Football League is off until Friday when Week 18 of the regular-season starts with 2 games – Winnipeg at Hamilton plus Calgary at the B-C Lions. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are idle until Saturday when they visit the Edmonton Elks at 5 p.m. The Green and White have 7 wins, 7 losses, 1 tie for 15 points…good for 2nd place in the West Division. Edmonton has 5 wins, 10 losses for 10 points…good for 4th place in the West. The Riders next home game is Saturday, October 12th against the B-C Lions. Kick-off time is 5 p.m. at Mosaic Stadium.

The Prairie Football Conference is off until Sunday when Week 8 of the regular-season starts and ends with 3 games, including the Saskatoon Hilltops visiting the Edmonton Huskies at 1 p.m. The Toppers have 7 wins, 0 losses for 14 points…good for 1st place. The Huskies have 3 wins, 4 losses for 6 points…good for 4th place. Next weekend ends the regular-season with the playoffs starting on Sunday, October 13th with the semi-finals. The Hilltops will host one of those semi-finals, with a 1 p.m. kickoff time at Saskatoon Minor Football Field, against a yet to be determined opponent.
