Toronto casino tops list of luckiest casinos in Canada: Study

Ontarians, no need to knock wood, throw salt over your shoulder, or cross your fingers.

The province is home to some lucky casinos in Canada — including the luckiest one.

The fine folks at Casinos.com conducted a study to rank the 31 most popular casinos across Canada in terms of luck, using keywords to mine through TripAdvisor reviews before calculating the percentage of luck-rated mentions.

Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, located at Woodbine Racetrack, came in first with a luck percentage of 41.48%.

Pretty impressive for a casino that only opened in June 2023.

Another Ontario casino, Rideau Carleton Raceway & Casino, just outside Ottawa in Gloucester, took second place with 32.11%.

While Casino of the Rockies in Cranbrook, B.C, placed third with 30%, Ontario claimed the fourth spot with Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands in Gananoque scoring 23.33%, just edging out Parq Vancouver, which earned a respectable 23.31% to put it in the Top 5.

Port Perry’s Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel took the No. 6 spot with 23.12% while Casino Nova Scotia (21.62%), Casino Niagara (20.38%), Casino Moose Jaw (19.15%) and Gateway Casinos Sault Ste. Marie (19.13%) rounded out the Top 10.

Other notable Ontario casinos include Casino Rama Resort, which took the 16th spot with 16.95%, 23rd-place Niagara Fallsview Casino with 12.94% and, at 12%, Caesars Windsor Casino came in 27th place.

Of course, with good luck comes bad and of the 31 casinos studied, the unluckiest one is Casino de Charlevoix in La Malbaie, Quebec with a meager score of 3.67%.

Also at the bottom were Casino de Mont-Tremblant with a score of 8.99%, Cascades Casino Kamloops, which earned a 9.52%, and Diamond Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall in Dawson City, Yukon, which nabbed 10.46%, so gamblers, you may want to try their luck elsewhere.
