‘That’s Not English’: Smirks, Ridicule, And LOLs For Trudeau In Canadian Parliament – Watch

Ottawa: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced mockery in Parliament on Wednesday as he sought to defend the Liberal Party’s record on immigration amid intense criticism from the Opposition.

During a debate in Parliament, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre launched an attack on Trudeau regarding the government’s immigration policy in light of the housing crisis. With the Liberals trailing in polls ahead of the elections, Poilievre asserted that the Canadian Prime Minister “cannot fix what he broke because he’s busy fighting his own caucus.”

Poilievre said, “He (Canadian PM Trudeau) has destroyed the immigration, the housing market, the cost of living. Will he call a carbon tax election so that we can bring home Canada‘s promise? He cannot fix what he broke on immigration, housing, or anything else because he is busy fighting his own caucus. Why won’t he call a carbon tax election so that we can restore Canada’s promise where anyone who comes here and works hard can have a good life, a safe street, and a warm home?”

What Justin Trudeau said?

In his defence, Trudeau remarked, “Once again, we see the leader of the Opposition is pushing a ‘brokenist’ vision of Canada that is simply not aligned with the reality.”

How Canada’s opposition responded?

With a broad smirk, Poilievre quickly retorted, “Mr. Speaker, ‘brokenist’, it’s not even a word. He (Canadian PM Trudeau) is even breaking the English language. Oh my goodness. So he broke the housing market by doubling the costs. He broke the cost of food by jacking up the carbon tax and increasing prices 36% faster than in the United States. He’s broken our immigration system. He’s breaking the bank with his doubling of the debt. Even his own caucus members think that everything is broken. Why don’t we have a carbon tax election to decide?”
