India will take on Canada in their final group game of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida. Rohit Sharma’s men have already qualified for the Super 8s after winning their first three games against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA respectively. India played all their games at the Nassau County International Stadium in New York where the batting was significantly tough, however, Florida is expected to present them with a decent batting surface.

Since India have already qualified for the Super 8s, the game would give them a chance to test their bench strength. One of the players who can play a big role for India in the Super 8s is Kuldeep Yadav and there are high odds that the left-arm spinner will be included in the India playing XI against Canada. Ravindra Jadeja hasn’t been in great form and given the significance of the tournament, India might finally make a bold move and drop Jadeja from the XI. India would also be keen to give Sanju Samson a shot in the XI. Samson made it to the T20 World Cup after a stunning run in IPL.

Samson has experience of playing in the West Indies thus he could be on Rohit Sharma’s radar for Super 8 games. Shivam Dube was picked over Samson due to his all-round skills, however, he hasn’t been at his best so far in the tournament. He did play a crucial innings against USA, however, did not look at his best. If his poor form persists, India could play Samson ahead of him. The game against Canada could be a great opportunity for India to fix the jigsaw.
