Shuswap locals enjoyed a musical, artistic, entertaining and high-flying Canada Day, with the fireworks show providing an explosive end to officially begin summer in Sicamous.
The morning started with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Seniors Centre, and kids’ activities downtown with the Eagle Valley Arts Council Children’s Festival, with an afternoon break before the the evening events started at 6 p.m.
Crowds at the Beach Park were then amazed by an acrobat act from Kinshira Entertainment, local band Headway on the stage and the ever popular fireworks that lit up Shuswap Lake for the grand finale that attracted the usual parade of boats from outlying communities.
