NFL Mock Draft 2025: Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders go 1-2, Ashton Jeanty finds first-round home | Sporting News Canada
There are only two months left in the 2024 NFL regular season, and there are only two months left in the college football season, including the new 12-team playoffs.
That makes it an ideal time to check in with another Sporting News first-round mock draft. Although there are many non-playoff teams in position to get the No. 1 overall pick, the team that picked at the top in both 2021 and 2022 is up first for 2025 — for now.
Here’s looking at the latest projections for what will go down at Lambeau Field on the night of April 24.

NFL Mock Draft 2025
Mike Watters-Imagn Images
1. Jacksonville Jaguars 2-8
-
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado (6-1, 185 pounds)
The Jaguars have had atrocious pass coverage outside for most of the season. They also need to give rising first-round rookie Brian Thomas Jr. more big-play support for Trevor Lawrence. Hunter, regardless of a coaching change, would be a great non-QB pick for them.
2. New York Giants 2-8
- Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado (6-2, 215 pounds)
Daniel Jones’ rollercoaster ride with coach Brian Daboll keeps going back down for stretches after limited peaks. Jones’ work and the Giants’ struggles might lead to Daboll not returning, but whoever’s in charge of the offense would lobby to replace Jones with Sanders. The Colorado star is separating himself from other QBs as the most polished pocket passer, one who can fit right into the Giants’ youth movement vibe with WR Malik Nabers, RB Tyrone Tracy Jr., TE Theo Johnson.

3. Tennessee Titans 2-7
- Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona (6-5, 210 pounds)
The Titans are on the fence about moving on from second-year second-rounder Will Levis, as they want to give him a full audition in the new offense under Brian Callahan and Nick Holz before pulling the trigger. Should Levis keep showing sparks with his arm and legs, then it would make sense to replace DeAndre Hopkins with a much-needed, all-around No. 1 opposite Calvin Ridley.
4. Cleveland Browns 2-7
- Cam Ward, QB, Miami (6-2, 223 pounds)
The Browns need to move on from Deshaun Watson by at least thinking about 2026, and Ward would give them a strong-armed pocket passer who can work well in this system should Kevin Stefanski and Ken Dorsey remain intact as the offensive leaders.
5. Las Vegas Raiders 2-7
-
Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama (6-2, 225 pounds)
The Raiders can’t mess around with bridge options and later-round rookies. They need to land a franchise dual-threat QB and build around him with their next full-time offensive schemer. Milroe fits that bill.
6. New England Patriots 3-7
- Mason Graham, DT, Michigan (6-3, 318 pounds)
Graham is a nasty run stopper whose flashes as an inside pass rusher suggest potential dominance in the NFL. That will sell Jerod Mayo on Graham being his new defensive linchpin.
7. New Orleans Saints 3-7
- Will Johnson, CB, Michigan (6-2, 202 pounds)
The Saints need to rebuild their secondary with Marshon Lattimore gone and plenty of question marks remaining. Johnson is the type of big, active, on-ball playmaker who can be the ideal replacement.
8. New York Jets 3-7
- Will Campbell, OT, LSU (6-6, 323 pounds)
Aging Tyron Smith is fading at left tackle, and another veteran addition, Morgan Moses, hasn’t been that reliable at right tackle. The Jets should want this massive mauler to be a huge asset in the running game playing either side and also smoothly protecting Aaron Rodgers (or whoever is at QB).
9. Carolina Panthers 3-7
- Malaki Starks, S, Georgia (6-1, 205 pounds)
The Panthers might stick with Bryce Young for one more season if they can also get a veteran bridge with some upside. They need to then focus on defense to clean up better vs. the run and in tight end coverage. Starks has the size and range needed to make a much-needed big-play impact.
10. Miami Dolphins 3-6
- Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia (6-5, 265 pounds)
The Dolphins need a disruptive young pass rusher who also can be an asset stopping the run. Williams can oblige, with the added bonus of lining up either outside or inside.
11. Dallas Cowboys 3-6
-
Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State (6-3, 250 pounds)
The Cowboys can go back to Micah Parsons’ former program to land Carter, a natural pass-rusher with a lot of moves and great range in pursuing the run.
12. Indianapolis Colts 4-6
- Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame (6-0, 190 pounds)
The Colts have Kenny Moore making plays everywhere inside, but they have been exposed plenty in corner coverage outside. Morrison would bring a needed, technically sound playmaker from South Bend to Indianapolis.
13. Cincinnati Bengals 4-6
- Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri (5-11, 208 pounds)
The Bengals look like they’re OK moving on from pending free-agent wide receiver Tee Higgins, and that makes sense ahead of a strong draft class full of talented WRs like the do-everything Burden.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-6
- James Pearce, EDGE, Tennessee (6-5, 243 pounds)
Todd Bowles’ defense could use a highly athletic pass rusher with some versatility and upside, and Pearce can develop and thrive well in his system.
15. Seattle Seahawks 4-5
-
Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M (6-4, 285 pounds)
Scourton also has great upside with dynamic pure pass-rushing skills, and Mike Macdonald can help him become a more consistent and better all-around defender.
16. Los Angeles Rams 4-5
- Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas (6-4, 324 pounds)
The Rams will be in the market for some left tackle help next year, and Sean McVay should like what he sees in Banks’ combination of strength and agility.
17. Chicago Bears 4-5
- Cameron Williams, OT, Texas (6-5, 235 pounds)
The Bears could use a little more help in protection and run blocking with a powerful, technically sound, nimble option for replacing Braxton Jones opposite 2023 first-rounder Darnell Wright.
18. San Francisco 49ers 5-4
-
Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan (6-3, 339 pounds)
The 49ers need to go defense early in the 2025 draft, whether it’s interior line, edge, or at corner. Grant makes sense
19. Denver Broncos 5-5
- Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas (5-11, 190 pounds)
Bo Nix has made do with their current wide receiver corps, led by an inconsistent Courtland Sutton, but he needs a good vertical playmaker to increase the big-play threat of the passing game. Bond would be a great fit.
20. Green Bay Packers 6-3
-
Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State (6-1, 190 pounds)
The Packers need to clean up some things with their back-end pass defense and Burke can offer them sound, experienced, and versatile coverage, in terms of both alignment and scheme.
21. Los Angeles Chargers 6-3
- Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan (6-5, 245 pounds)
The Chargers and Loveland seem like a Jim Harbaugh-Greg Roman match made in heaven as they look for the next version of Mark Andrews to help Justin Herbert.
22. Washington Commanders 7-4
- Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina (6-3, 193 pounds)
The Commanders traded for Marshon Lattimore, but they have multiple concerns with their cornerback coverage with first-rounder Emmanuel Forbes not panning out. Revel, who should make a full recovery from his torn ACL, would be a nice cover man to groom opposite Lattimore.
23. Baltimore Ravens 7-3
-
Emery Jones Jr., OT, LSU (6-3, 315 pounds)
The Ravens need to address this key offensive weakness up front with a high-upside pass rusher who first can fit well helping with his natural strong run blocking.
24. Minnesota Vikings 7-2
- Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State (5-9, 215 pounds)
The Vikings could use a more explosive workhorse-type back with fading former Packer Aaron Jones only on a one-year deal. Jeanty would be a good combination of luxury and necessity pick for them.
25. Arizona Cardinals 6-4
- Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky (6-6, 345 pounds)
The Cardinals need to keep beefing up the middle with a stout run stopper for Jonathan Gannon. Walker also has the athletic upside to be an asset as a key inside pass rusher.
26. Houston Texans 6-4
-
Jonah Savaiinaea, G, Arizona (6-5, 330 pounds)
Right guard Shaq Mason has been shaky at 31, and left guard Kendrick Green is a pending free agent. Savaiinaea is a bit of a tweener, but that’s because has great agility as a natural pass protector, making it uncertain whether he fits best at guard or tackle in the NFL. He has just too much skill and run-blocking potential to not start right away somewhere as a rookie.
27. Atlanta Falcons 6-4
-
Harold Perkins Jr., EDGE, LSU (6-1, 235 pounds)
Matthew Judon has been an aging stopgap for a pass rush with little production, and Raheem Morris will want a linebacker who can move around and get to the quarterback from anywhere.
28. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-2
-
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State (6-1, 205 pounds)
The Steelers need to give George Pickens a true No. 2 option, and Egbuka is the classic Buckeyes prospect with great hands, smooth route-running, and big-play flair.
29. Philadelphia Eagles 8-2
- Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia (6-2, 245 pounds)
Walker would continue the fine haul from Kirby Smith’s Bulldogs defense, with Jalen Carter and Nakobe Dean being the latest revelations. Walker can boost their pass rush, but he also has the versatility to line up on the second level to help vs. the run and in coverage.
30. Buffalo Bills 8-2
-
Tacario Davis, CB, Arizona (6-4, 195 pounds)
The Bills should want to keep upgrading this spot with a big, fluid corner who fits Sean McDermott’s imposing coverage mentality.
31. Detroit Lions 8-1
-
Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State (6-5, 260 pounds)
Sawyer has the relentlessness to fit the Lions’ current aggressive makeup, and Aaron Glenn would like his chess-piece ability to help well beyond the complementary pass rush for Aidan Hutchinson.
32. Kansas City Chiefs 5-0
-
Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State (6-2, 290 pounds)
The Chiefs need to consider giving Chris Jones more pop in the supporting interior rotation. Williams remains a compact inside rusher who has rounded out his game well by returning to Columbus for one more season.
