Prior to his stint with the Falcons, Rourke was released by the New York Giants, who had claimed him off waivers on May 7, 2024. Despite his efforts, Rourke saw limited action during his time with the Giants.

A Promising CFL Career

Before his NFL journey, Nathan Rourke made a name for himself in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the B.C. Lions. In 2022, he was named the league’s Most Outstanding Canadian, completing 78.7% of his passes for 3,349 yards and 25 touchdowns over ten regular-season games. He also showcased his mobility by rushing for 304 yards and seven touchdowns, despite missing time due to a Lisfranc injury.

At 26 years old, Rourke’s NFL journey continues to be a challenging one. With his release from the Falcons, he is now on waivers and available to be claimed by other NFL teams.
