Muenster’s Marek Yeager named to Canadian Futures Showcase

Muenster’s Marek Yeager was one of 75 baseball players across the country named to the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy’s 10th annual Canadian Futures Showcase on Friday. 

The showcase allows baseball players that have draft and college eligibility an opportunity to compete in front of MLB scouts and college recruiters. 

The players will be split into six teams for the tournament which also features a home run derby.

Since 2013, 117 former Canadian Futures Showcase participants have been drafted by Major League Baseball organizations, with more than 700 receiving college scholarships.

This will mark the third time for Yeager competing in the Canadian Futures Showcase after he was in Ottawa in 2022 and last year in Toronto.
