Leos to begin playoff journey with Grey Cup home field advantage on the line
The calendar has flipped to November, which means one thing in the world of the Canadian Football League – the playoffs are here.
And to begin the postseason, the BC Lions will head to the prairies to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday.

The Leos and Riders faced each other on two occasions this season, with both teams managing to earn a win.
However, in their most recent meeting, Saskatchewan dominated BC en route to a 39 – 8 win.
The Lions will look to Vernon Adams Jr. to lead the offence after he helped BC earn a 27-3 win over the Montreal Alouettes to close the season.
Adams Jr. completed 26 passes for 385 yards, two touchdown passes and two interceptions in the win.
It’s time to earn our way back home.

Not only will the Lions depend on Adams Jr., but several other players such as kicker Sean Whyte, who is in the running for the most outstanding special teams player award.
Justin McInnis finished the regular season atop the league in the receiving category with 1,469 yards.
William Stanback finished second in the league for rushing with 1,175 yards.
Watching this over, and over, and over again.

There might be extra pressure on the Lions in Saturday’s match as the Leos are set to host the Grey Cup on Nov. 17 for the first time in a decade.
A win against the Roughriders and then the Winnipeg Blue Bombers would mean home-field advantage for the Lions in the 111th Grey Cup.
Kick off is at 3:30 pm on Saturday.
