Jett Luchanko cracks Canadian World Junior roster

Cam Allen was one of the cuts when the Canadian team was announced Friday evening

The Guelph Storm will be without Jett Luchanko for the next few weeks.

The Philadelphia Flyers prospect was one of 14 forwards named to the Canadian World Junior roster Friday evening. The World Junior Hockey Championship goes from Ottawa Dec. 26 to Jan. 5.

Storm defenceman Cam Allen was one of the cuts made by Team Canada brass after a week-long selection camp in Ottawa.

Luchanko has 20 points in 16 games with Guelph this season, after appearing in four NHL regular season games with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Canada begins its quest for gold on Boxing Day against Finland.
