How to watch Grey Cup 2024: Channel, time, schedule, live stream for Winnipeg vs. Toronto in CFL final | Sporting News Canada
Canadian football fans, the time has come! The 111th Grey Cup takes place Sunday between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Toronto Argonauts.
This will mark the second time in three years that Toronto and Winnipeg will have met in the Grey Cup.
The Argonauts toppled the reigning champion Montreal Alouettes 30-28 in the East Division Final last Saturday, but they lost QB Chad Kelly to a broken leg in the process. That leaves seven-year CFL vet Nick Arbuckle as the starter against Winnipeg.
The Blue Bombers roughed up the Saskatchewan Roughriders 38-22 in the West Final last Saturday. QB Zach Collaros threw for 301 passing yards and four touchdowns, and running back Brady Oliveira racked up 119 yards and a TD. Wideout Kenny Lawler went off with six receptions, 177 yards and three TDs.
Winnipeg has more Grey Cup appearances than any other team (30), followed by Toronto with 24, but the Argos have a CFL-record 18 Grey Cup titles. This could very well be Winnipeg’s year to return to glory, though, considering its superb momentum as well as Toronto’s terrible twist of fate with the Kelly injury.
