Former world No 1 Rafael Nadal will call time on his career at the Davis Cup Finals, which begin on November 19 at the Palacio Deportes Martin Carpena in Malaga, Spain.
The Spaniard is one of the most decorated tennis players, with 22 Grand Slam singles championships and five Davis Cup titles.
However the hosts are out at the quarterfinal stage, losing to the Netherlands with Nadal’s final professional contest seeing him downed in straight sets in one of the singles rubbers.
At the other end of the draw, defending champions Italy, led by world No 1 Jannik Sinner, will play former winners Argentina in the quarterfinal. Record 32-time champions USA take on 28-time winners Australia in the last quarterfinal.

The quarterfinals began on Tuesday, November 19 when Spain lost to the Netherlands.
Germany vs. Canada and USA vs. Australia quarterfinals will be held during the day session on November 20 and November 21 respectively. Meanwhile, Italy vs. Argentina will take place not before 5:00 p.m. local time on November 21.
The first semifinal will begin at 5:00 p.m. local time on November 22, followed by the second semifinal a day later, beginning at 1:00 p.m. local time.
The final will take place on November 24, starting at 4:00 p.m. local time, which is 10:00 a.m. in Canada (ET).
