Ganyi selected by BC Lions in CFL Draft – University of Maine Athletics

Linebacker taken in the sixth round, 53rd overall

ORONO, Maine — University of Maine linebacker Terrence Ganyi has been selected by the BC Lions in the sixth round, 53rd overall, of the Canadian Football League (CFL) Draft.

Ganyi, who transferred to Maine for the 2022 season after playing two previous seasons (2018, 2019) at UConn, appeared in 12 games at Maine while registering 13 tackles. Ganyi set his Maine career high with four stops in the 2024 season finale against New Hampshire.

BC opens its season on Sunday, June 9 when it travels to take on Toronto.
