Chilliwack-Hope MP encouraging employers to apply for 2025 Canada Summer job funding

Chilliwack-Hope MP Mark Strahl once again is asking employers to once again apply for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program in order to hire young Canadians.

“I encourage not-for-profit organizations and small businesses in our community to apply for funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program,” Strahl said. “Both local employers and local students have benefited from this program in the past and there are more applications to participate in it every year.”

Applications for the summer program are now open and available until Dec.19, 2024.

Employers in Chilliwack-Hope — which includes not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers, and private-sector employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees — are all being encouraged by Strahl to apply. In doing so, employers have the chance receive funding to hire Canadian youth, aged 15 to 30, for the summer.

Since 2017, the CSJ program has been creating summer job opportunities that provide valuable work experience for Canadian youth. These jobs help them gain the skills and experience need to successfully join the workforce.
