Charlotte Cardin to sing Canadian national anthem at NBA All-Star game

A whirlwind week for Charlotte Cardin just got even better.

Fresh off her six Juno Award nominations, and as she looks ahead to her four sold-out shows at Place Bell in Laval, the Montreal pop singer-songwriter added one more reason to celebrate.

The 29-year-old will be performing the Canadian national anthem at this year’s NBA All-Star game, the league announced Wednesday.

Cardin re-shared the news on her Instagram with a Canadian flag and red heart emoji.

The 73rd NBA All-Star game will be played Feb. 18 in Indianapolis.

The weekend features several big-name performers, including Lil Wayne, Keith Urban, Jennifer Hudson and T-Pain.

Cardin’s name dominated the Juno nomination announcement Tuesday, with her record “99 Nights” earning a nod for album of the year, while her Top 10 Canadian hit “Confetti” was among the single of the year nominees.

It’s an impressive return for the Montrealer, who took home four wins at the 2022 edition of the awards with her previous album.

Cardin will take the stage in Laval every night from Thursday to Sunday.
