Calgary was just announced as the winning bid to host the 2026 Grey Cup.
According to a Canadian Football League release, the game will be played at McMahon Stadium on Sunday (Nov. 15).
“We’re beyond thrilled to bring the Grey Cup back to Calgary in 2026,” said CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie. “And of course, we’re most excited for Canadian football fans everywhere.”
According to Tourism Calgary, the event will generate around $50 million in economic activity through hotels, restaurants, and retailers.
“It will also bring together our love for Canadian football and showcase our Blue Sky City hospitality. We can’t wait to welcome fans of all ages from across the country to experience this memorable event,” mentioned Tourism Calgary CEO Alisha Reynolds.
The 2026 game will be the sixth time that Calgary has hosted the Grey Cup at McMahon Stadium including 1975, 1993, 2000, 2009 and 2019.
