Canadian WR Elic Ayomanor of Stanford to declare for NFL Draft
Elic Ayomanor feels he’s ready to make the jump to the top level of football.
The Canadian wide receiver posted on social media on Friday that he plans to leave Stanford early and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
The native of Medicine Hat, Alta. made 63 catches for 831 yards and six touchdowns this season in his second full campaign for Stanford.
His numbers were down from 2022 (62 catches for 1,013 yards, six touchdowns) when Ayomanor won the Jon Cornish Trophy as the top Canadian in NCAA football. Stanford finished 3-9 both years.
Ayomanor is a finalist again for the Cornish this season, though Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke is the heavy favourite.
The six-foot-two Ayomanor has been projected to be a potential Day 1 or 2 pick in the NFL Draft.
