There might be another voice in the crowd cheering for her: her rumored boyfriend, Nathanael Derek! Although they have not confirmed their relationship publicly, fans are curious to know who Derek is!

Much like Bianca Andreescu, whose passion for tennis began at the age of seven, Nathanael Derek’s mind was also occupied with the idea of being a sportsman. However, the former U.S. Open champion’s (2019) boyfriend’s fate intervened. As he struggled with a torn pectoral muscle injury, his dream of becoming an athlete came to an abrupt end when he was young. But then he shifted towards adopting his new interest in digital technology.

Harnessing his love on the subject, he opened his own digital technology company. After a few years of working for various small-scale companies and gathering knowledge and experience, Derek gradually made his mark in the technology industry. According to him, “It’s never easy to crack the code to success within a few days. You will come across new challenges, and it’s the way you deal with them that determines how prepared you are for the industry.”

Apart from his professional goals, he is an ardent believer in keeping a firm balance in his personal and private life. Further adding his perspective on dealing with failures, he once said, “I would say that the biggest lesson you can learn is not to make the same mistake and just keep on growing.” However, as he stepped into the former Canadian Open winner’s life in 2021, a new story of their lives began. An active Instagram user, Derek, who is also a Canadian, frequently posts pictures with Andreescu. It is speculated that they started dating in mid-2022 and are still going strong!

Bianca Andreescu reveals how her “perseverance” is finally paying off in tennis

After staying away from tennis for nine months due to a fracture in her back, Bianca Andreescu is all set to win her first grass-court match this season. After sweeping past four of her opponents, including Naomi Osaka in the quarterfinals, the Canadian player is focused on winning the match with whatever it takes.

During an interview after her match, a hopeful Andreescu revealed, “I mean if I can win then I will so do whatever you guys want me to. I just want to do well and then the rest you guys can choose, I will do it.”  When further asked about her feelings after reaching the finals in the Netherlands, she added, “It feels great. I believe that all the hard work that I’m putting in and the perseverance and never giving up is really paying off.”

As she gears up to swing her racquet with all her power, fans are hoping to see her rock the tennis courts soon!
