Babar Azam To Drop Imad Wasim, Ayub At Top With Rizwan; Pakistan’s Probable XI Vs Canada

Pakistan will have a must-win battle against Canada on Tuesday (June 11) in Match 22 of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.
Needless to say, after two thrashing defeats against the USA and India, the Men in Green, under Babar Azam’s leadership, will make some bold calls to turn things around. The PCB chief also mentioned the same, making it a case for seniors to worry about.
After a lot of confusion, Pakistan fielded Imad Wasim against India, only to make matters worse for them. Although Imad bowled impressively, his batting failures (15 off 23 balls), played a crucial role in his side’s six-run defeat in the end.
Babar, in all likelihood, is set to drop Imad against Canada, and at the same time, that will allow them to bring in Saim Ayub. Ayub, 22, did not have great outings lately, but his presence at the top would give his side more dynamism with the aim of scoring runs quickly.
The rest, however, are likely to retain their places, suggesting that there is no chance of the return of Azam Khan in their upcoming fixtures.
Pakistan’s Probable Playing XI Vs Canada
Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam (C), Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Amir
