Australia vs Canada Olympic basketball: Start time, live stream, TV channel to watch Boomers game in Australia | Sporting News Australia
The Australian Boomers take on Canada in the marquee matchup in the ‘Group of Death’ on Tuesday night.
With Canada opening the tournament with an 86-79 win over Greece and the Aussies securing a 92-80 victory over Spain, tonight’s game could well determine the winner of Group A.
There’s no shortage of marquee matchups on the floor, with a host of NBA talent on both sides, headlined by Josh Giddey coming up against his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — both among the standout performers in their team’s opening game wins.
For the Boomers, there is optimism that injured guard Dante Exum could make his return to the court against Canada, with head coach Brian Goorjian telling ESPN’s Kane Pitman, Exum “took a big step” towards returning at practice.
“He shot the ball, bounced the ball, no problem with it…we’re hoping for him to play against Canada,” Goorjian said.
