The Canadian Olympic Committee, Canadian Paralympic Committee, and Team Canada have partnered with Lululemon for the second consecutive Olympics to provide their official gear for the 2024 Paris Games, according to a press release from Lululemon.
“The Team Canada kit lives up to all my expectations,” said tennis player and Lululemon ambassador Leylah Fernandez in a media kit provided to Metroland.
“It looks chic and makes me feel proud to represent Canada. I also love how breathable so many pieces are, which will be a game changer on hot days and during high-pressure moments.”
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 26, at 1:30 p.m. EST, where Team Canada athletes will show off their Lululemon outfits.
Summer McIntosh, swimmer and Lululemon ambassador, was also featured in the Team Canada x Lululemon media kit, giving fans a glimpse of her outfit and what other athletes will wear during the ceremony.
“It will feel incredible to see Canadians wearing the Future Legacy collection,” said McIntosh. “Especially knowing that a portion of proceeds will be used to support so many future Canadian athlete stars.”
According to the press release, Lululemon’s Future Legacy program will give 10 per cent of sales from all Future Legacy items to support the Canadian Olympic Foundation and Paralympic Foundation of Canada.
Since arriving in Paris, athletes have been showcasing their new gear around the Olympic Village. Social media posts featuring Team Canada’s outfits have been creating excitement ahead of the event.
