Winter weather travel advisory continues in Toronto, nearly 5cm of snow expected | CBC News

Environment Canada has placed Toronto under a winter weather travel advisory for the third time this week, warning that snow is expected on Saturday in the afternoon and early evening. 

Toronto is expected to see close to 5cm of snow, particularly over eastern parts of the city. 

Snow will move southeast throughout the afternoon before tapering off in the evening, the advisory said. 

“Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly,” Environment Canada said. “Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.”

Toronto is forecast to reach a high of 1 C on Saturday, with temperatures expected to feel like -8 C in the morning because of wind chill.
