Top 5 salary trends for 2025: These jobs will see large pay hikes in Canada | insauga

Diversity management jobs are among the “top five salary trends to watch in 2025” in Canada, according to a recruitment company.

Randstad Canada has unveiled its 2025 salary guide which looks at conditions and trends in the job market.

“While the job market is evolving faster than ever, certain salary trends stand out,” the company said in a news release.

Coming in at number five, but with the largest forecasted salary increase on the list, are diversity and inclusion management positions.

Randstad said those positions will see a 12 per cent increase with senior salaries jumping to $123,200 from $110,000, “underlining the importance of creating inclusive and healthy work environments.”

Also on the list were positions in specialized skills, including skilled trades, technology, and engineering.

“Automation technicians and electromechanics, for example, will see their salaries rise by an average of eight per cent in 2025, marking the growing importance of these skills,” Randstad said.

The technology sector also landed its own spot on the list.

Cloud architects will see their pay jump by 10 per cent to $132,000 for senior positions, Randstad said, highlighting the demand for tech expertise.

Marketing and communications is also an area to keep an eye out for.

Digital marketing specialists are forecasted to see their salaries rise by nine per cent, to $74,120 from $68,000 for intermediate positions.

“Digitization remains an essential pillar in a rapidly expanding business environment,” Randstad noted.

Finance and accounting also made the list.

“Effective financial management is crucial with the economic environment constantly changing,” Randstad said.

“Compensation analysts will see a seven per cent increase, with salaries reaching $80,250 for intermediate roles.”

Meanwhile, Randstad said while inflation has cooled, cost of living challenges persist and just 57 per cent of companies are meeting employees’ expectations regarding support with economic pressure.

Pay transparency will also become extra important for employers in 2025 amid the “increasing adoption of pay transparency legislation in several Canadian provinces.”

As well, offering flexibility and non-monetary benefits, such as flexible hours or hybrid work, is important for employers to attract and retain talent, Randstad said.
