The North Bay native plays left tackle for Toronto and will start at that position this Sunday in the Grey Cup game at BC Place in Vancouver.

Hunter started playing high school football at Algonquin, then he played two years of high school football in Buffalo.

Hunter then moved to NCAA Division I Bowling Green University where, after a redshirt season, Hunter played for four seasons.

He was the signed by the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.  Hunter was on the roster  when the Chiefs won Super Bowl 54 (LIV) and has a Super Bowl ring.  After being released by the Chiefs he was on the practice roster of the Los Angeles Chargers.  They let Hunter go and he signed with the Argonauts who drafted Hunter in the first round of the 2018 CFL draft.

Hunter’s Argos play Winnipeg this weekend and the Blue Bombers coached by another North Bay product, Mike O’Shea.
