The Saskatchewan Roughriders had the most dominant victory in Week 19 of the 2024 Canadian Football League regular season, and one reason why Saskatchewan beat the British Columbia Lions 39-8 on Saturday was because two Canadians found the end zone. Roughriders linebacker A.J. Allen of Burlington, Ontario had a 48 yard interception return for a touchdown to open the scoring, and Kian Schaffer-Baker of Mississauga, Ontario had an eight yard converted touchdown catch from quarterback Trevor Harris with six minutes and 22 seconds left in the third quarter to put Saskatchewan up 36-8.

For Allen, this was his first career touchdown, and first career interception. This season he has four defensive tackles, and 20 special team tackles. In his career, Allen has 29 defensive tackles and 45 special team tackles.

Schaffer-Baker, meanwhile, had four catches for 21 receiving yards in the win. For the season, he has 52 catches for 735 receiving yards and four touchdown catches.

With the win, the Roughriders improve to a record of nine wins, seven losses and one tie. With 19 points, they are in second place in the West Division. They are one point back of the division leading Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who lost 14-11 to the Toronto Argonauts on Friday. Saskatchewan also leads the third place British Columbia Lions by three points.
