Canadian MP Jagmeet Singh’s Clash With Protesters Caught On Video: Heated Confrontation Outside Parliament

Jagmeet Singh Confronts Protestors Outside Canadian Parliament

New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh on Monday, September 16, confronted protestors outside the Canadian Parliament after someone used a derogatory term against him A video shared on X, formerly Twitter, showed two protesters following Jagmeet Singh in a parking lot. One of them asked if he would support a motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government. As Singh walked away, someone nearby used an inappropriate term against him.

Visibly upset, Singh turned to confront the protesters who followed him. Pointing at each one, he repeatedly asked, “Who said it?”

As the men denied insulting him, Singh called one of them a “coward” for not voicing his criticism “to his face.”

Meanwhile, as Singh turned around, one of the protesters said, “With that aggression, is that why you’re choosing war with Russia?”

Federal politicians have reported a surge in intense public harassment recently, while anti-government protesters stationed on Wellington Street in Ottawa have been intimidating public servants en route to Parliament.

‘Bullies in Ottawa have been spewing hate’: Jagmeet Singh On X

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh took to X and addressed the situation, stating, “By now you’ve probably seen the video. For days now, bullies in Ottawa have been spewing hate and harassing Canadians who don’t agree with them. An Indigenous woman being called a Nazi. Staff being harassed. Journalists being yelled at. That’s the country Pierre Poilievre wants. Me? I believe everyone should feel safe walking our streets. I believe we need to stand up to bullies and shut down hate. Canadians believe in lifting each other up. Not tearing each other down. Stand with us.”
