Olympic basketball is in full swing in Paris with the men’s and women’s tournaments underway.
The women have the stage to themselves Monday, with Team USA and Canada opening play in Paris.
The Americans have won gold in every Olympics since 1996 and they’ll begin their quest for an eighth straight title against Japan in Monday’s nightcap.
Canada faces a tough opener against host France, which has reached the medal round in three straight Olympics and took bronze in Tokyo.
The other two games feature a strong Australia team led by returning legend Lauren Jackson taking on Nigeria in the opener and Germany facing Belgium after that.
