Last night, May 26, 2024, was a fun one for all the cricket fans because it was the finals of Indian Premier League 2024. While the people were divided in two teams of Kolkata and Hyderabad, it was also reported that the Canadian rapper Drake is also a supporter of Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla’s team.

Here is what Drake had to say about Kolkata Knight Riders.

As per the trusted reports, Drake had placed a USD 250,000 bet on KKR winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final against SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad) on May 26. Having previously made headlines for his significantly high bets on different sorts of sports, be it basketball, American Football and Rugby, this will be Drake’s first-ever cricket bet. The 37-year-old shared a screenshot of his bet receipt as a story via his official Instagram account.

It also seems like Drake has won this bet because King Khan’s Kolkata team won their third IPL trophy last night that too with a great margin. While the bowlers ended Hyderabad’s game at 113 in just 18.3 overs, the batsmen managed to chase the score down in just 10.3 overs with only two wickets down. Rapper Drake won more than Rs 3.5 crore according to the receipt of the bet he posted on his Instagram story. The receipt showed odds of 1.70 for winning when Drake placed the bet. Along with the receipt, he also wrote ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo’, KKR’s catchline.
